Makeup Review: E.L.F.'s Studio Line Blush

TommiH
Hey everyone! I'm back with another makeup product review. Today we are going to discuss a product from E.L.F.'s studio line. The product we will take a look at today is Studio Blush. During this review we are going to take a look at the packaging, color, texture, and application life.

Let's get started!

Packaging:

This blush comes in a small, flip open container. There is no brush provided and no personal mirror for application; it is only the product. It would be nice if this blush came with these items because it would make for an easier application. Yes, they are not essential - but generally a "gimme".

Texture:
E.L.F. uses the term "silky-smooth application", but that's not entirely true. Yes this blush has a softer texture, but mine went on in more of a rough manner. It didn't look very silky-glide on to me. This powder will cling to dry skin patches, so avoid using it when you have dry skin present. This blush does not seem to scout out wrinkles or fine lines. So if you are older and have wrinkles or fine lines, I wouldn't worry about it. If you would really like to unsure that it will stay out of your wrinkles (meaning not clumping up in them), I would suggest using a facial primer.

Application Life:
The application life was OK, but not the best I have seen. I got approx. five hours of full wear out of E.L.F.'s Studio Blush. Now if you are not very familiar with the "blush scale line", allow me to explain where "OK" falls in line. On the "Blush Scale" you have bad, fair, OK, good, and excellent. So this studio blush fell right into the middle. It's nothing to be wowed about, but nothing to be completely mad at. If you use a facial primer and then a translucent powder over top of the blush, you will get a little more life out of the blush and it will look a little smoother.

Color:
I really do like E.L.F.'s color selection available for this blush. E.LF. has six different blush colors available in this one specific blush brand: Peachy Keen, Tickled Pink, Candid Coral, Mellow Mauve, Berry Merry, and Blushing Rose. There are pictures of all available colors on E.L.F.'s site (www.eyeslipsface.com). The pictures are rather accurate, but there is always going to be a slight difference because not everything is perfect. The colors are very nice and vibrant, though. There is a tiny bit of sparkle to the blush, but not very much.

All-in-all, this is a good blush. If you are a beginner at blush and would like to try something out and use to practice with without burning your wallet up, go for the E.L.F. studio blush. This is not the best blush in the world, but it does do the trick. You can get this blush for $3 on eyeslipsface.com.
