Makeup Review: E.L.F.'s Studio Line Eye Primer and Liner Sealer

TommiH
Hey everyone! Today we are going to talk about another new product I got. This product is from E.L.F.'s studio line. During this review we will take a look at E.L.F.'s eye primer and liner sealer's packaging, color, texture, and application life.

Let's get started!

Packaging:
I really like the packaging because it is compact and easy to carry around. This is a duo packaging. On one end is the liner sealer and on the other is the eye primer. The eye primer is in stick form (much like a concealer stick), and the eye primer is in liquid form. The applicator for the eye primer can be a little difficult to use at first because it is much like a liquid eye liner brush (moves around a lot, a little bit bulkier, etc.) but it gets easier with some practice.

Color:
There is only one color available for purchase: Natural. I would not suggest this product for people who have lighter skin, because it will be a little too dark for you. And people who have medium to dark skin may also have a problem on their hands when it comes to this product because it will be a little on the light side.

The liner sealer is clear so you do not have to worry about the coloring there.

Texture:

The eye primer has a semi-tough feeling to it. Though it is a crème product, it is a little tough and hard. I would suggest warming the product up in your hands a little before application or apply a little of the eye primer to your hand and using a concealer brush for application.

I would also suggest that you apply a little of the liner sealer to your hand and use a small skinny brush to apply the product to your liner area until you get used to the applicator.

Application Life:

Here is where something's go down hill. The primer application lasted maybe an eye before it started to crease. It started to cling to dry skin during application, so avoid use it you are dealing with dry skin. If you are going to use this product underneath eyeshadow, you may want to think again. This primer tends to smudge and smear and can cause your shadow to do the same. If you are going to use this primer under your foundation, it holds a little better and helps absorb oils that your skin lets off.

The sealer works rather well. I did not really have any problems with it other than a rocky start with the applicator. If this is your problem as well, try out the suggestion above.

All-in-all, the primer is not all that great but the sealer works OK. If you are not interested in the primer, you may want to try out the product just for the sealer. You can get this product at eyeslipsface.com for $3.
