Makeup Review: Estee Lauder's Lash Primer Plus

TommiH
Hey there everyone! Today we are going to take a look at another makeup product. I just got Estee Lauder's Lash Primer Plus. This is a eyelash primer that you use before you apply your mascara. During this review we are going to take a look at the wand, application life, coloring, and texture.

Let's see how it holds up...

Wand:
I really like this wand. It is very important to have a good wand when you are applying a primer to your lashes because it you clump it up, you are going to get a bad result after you apply the mascara. You will notice that lashes are sticking together and it will be very noticeable that you are wearing makeup and it will look fake.

This wand applies an even coating of primer to all of your lashes and gives mascara perfection results each time. The only change I would ask to be made is that the tip of the wand was made a little skinner and less chunky; it would make it easier when applying primer to smaller lashes.

Color:

People always have questions about the primer coloring: 'What does it look like?', 'Does it dry clear?', and 'Will people see it through my mascara?' Let's get all of these questions answered right of the bat.

This primer is a clear primer and dries clear to your lashes. People will not see the primer through your mascara since it is clear. So if you are worried about your lashes looking fake and unhealthy, don't worry anymore because they come out looking just fine.

Texture:
I was wondering if this primer would have the liquid texture like water or if it would have more of the cream texture of mascara. This primer is not quite as thick as mascara but it is not liquid thin. No it did not run everywhere off my lashes. I was very impressed with the texture. It was smooth and easy to apply. You can apply it even if you are a beginner.

Application life:
I would not say that this primer extends the life of your mascara, but it does help curl the lashes. I feel that it helped dry the mascara a little faster as well. My average little mascara last approx. 7 hours, but the curls never really hold more than an hour. I applied Primer Plus to my lashes before my mascara, and the curls did hold a little longer throughout the day. Volume was another thing I wanted to talk about. I noticed a little more volume when using this product, and was pleased.

All-in-all, this is a good makeup product to have handy in your makeup bag. It is a bit pricey, but that's because it has Estee Lauder's name printed on the product. You can by this lash primer at esteelauder.com for $18.50.
