Makeup Review: Urban Decay Ink for Eyes in Zero

Rachel Bogart
Urban Decay is a well-known brand for some very good reasons. First off, Urban Decay has a huge amount of products. They have eyeshadow, lip gloss, eyeliner, mascara, and their famous eyeshadow primer potion. In addition to their large variety of products, Urban Decay is a great brand for people that like to purchase vegan products. For one, Urban Decay does not test on animals. They also don't use any animal products in their cosmetics. A good example of this is their brand new line of makeup brushes. All of the brushes are made completely out of synthetic fibers instead of animal hair. You can also check out all their vegan products on their website, UrbanDecay.com.

Needless to say, I absolutely love Urban Decay products. And whenever I'm in need of a new makeup product, I go directly to Urban Decay. Recently I wanted a new eyeliner. Because I wear contact lenses, my eyes tend to water a lot. I've had numerous problems with regular eyeliner, specifically that the color doesn't stay on my eyes very long. It also smudges and smears because my eyes water. Urban Decay has been known to make great eyeliners in a large variety of colors. But recently I wanted a new eyeliner. When I saw that Urban Decay came out with a new design of eyeliners, I decided to check them out.

Immediately on the Urban Decay website I saw the Urban Decay Ink for Eyes. It was exactly what I was looking for. The Urban Decay Ink for Eyes comes six different colors, including blue, brown, purple, green, black, and white. The Ink for Eyes comes in a small rectangular palette with the color on one side and the brush on the other. I decided to purchase the Urban Decay Ink for Eyes in "Zero" (aka: black) for $22 directly from the Urban Decay website.

When I received the Urban Decay Ink for Eyes in the mail, I immediately wanted to try it out. I washed my face with my favorite cleanser and wiped off my eyes with a cotton makeup pad. I took the brush out of the rectangular palette and swiped it over the color. I then took the tip of the brush and drew a line under my lashes and on the edge of my eyelids. The color immediately popped and looked great on my eyes. It also went on extremely smoothly too and didn't cake on at all. While the color looked great after just being applied, I wanted to really test it out and wear it all day. Surprisingly the color stayed, almost all day, even with my eyes watering every once in a while. The color also looked fresh all day too.

Over all, I would rate the Urban Decay Ink for Eyes a 4.5/5. It's a great product and a great eyeliner. It lasted all day and it didn't budge. The only downside to this product is the price. At $22, it's a bit steep and probably is a bit too pricey for some people who are looking for a new makeup product.
