Makeup Tips for Teen Girls Who Wear Glasses

For teen girls who wear glasses, makeup can often be a way to draw attention away from the glasses and onto other elements of the face. However, applying makeup when you wear glasses can also highlight the natural beauty of your eyes and give you a more complete look by following these simple tips.

Teen Makeup with Glasses Tip: Light Layer of Foundation

One concern if you wear glasses is that the glasses, which sit on the bridge of your nose, will rub off your foundation over the course of the day, and get your glasses dirty. To solve this problem, teenage girls who wear glasses should just use a light layer of foundation, and consider skipping the upper portion of the nose, if possible.

Teen Makeup with Glasses Tip: Accentuate Eyes with Blush

One way to get eyes noticed when they are behind a pair of glasses is for teen girls to use blush in upward strokes. This will create focal points and then draw the attention of people up to the eyes.

Teen Makeup with Glasses Tip: Skip the Mascara

Especially if your glasses sit close to your face, you will want to skip mascara when applying makeup. If your eyelashes are so long that they are touching your glasses, it will be annoying for you, and it will probably rub the mascara off. Plus, eyelashes tend to be hard to see because they often are hidden behind the frames of the glasses.

Teen Makeup with Glasses Tip: Use Eyeliner

One way to really make your eyes pop out if you are not using mascara is to use eyeliner. This thin line around your eyes will draw attention to them, rather than keeping them hidden behind glasses. Teenage girls should try to go light on the eyeliner though, because it can often lead to an overly mature look.

Teen Makeup with Glasses Tip: Be Natural

One last tip for teen girls who wear glasses is to be natural with makeup. It is there to enhance your beauty, not to create beauty, and a bad makeup job will be far more noticeable than no makeup at all.
