Make-Up Trends for Fall 2009

See What the Stars Are Wearing

Summer is just beginning but before we know it fall will be here. You're sure to be on top of fashion if you follow these simple guidelines when choosing your fall make-up palette.

The first thing to remember when choosing fall colors is to look to nature. Golds, oranges, browns, dark reds, greens and plums are great choices.

Eyeshadow should be shimmery or metallic and should emphasize your natural eye color. Gold or brown for brown eyes, green for green eyes and plum for blue eyes is a good rule to follow. Feel free to go a little darker than you normally would to play up your eyes if they are your best asset.

Cheeks should be a deep red, but not dark. Think brick-colored and you can't go wrong. Just be sure to apply with a light hand.

When it comes to foundation, it is just that. The foundation on which you want the rest of your color to stand out on. Stick with a natural, creamy look.

Nails are going to be dark just like the eyes. Plums and deep reds work great on almost any skin tone. Just keep nails short and square and remember to use a base coat to avoid staining from dark polishes.
