    jennifer is absolutely wrong about the shox, but this article is truly written by an amateur guessing at what they are talking about. Please go to a good running store and talk to the experts about shoes, have a fair budget in mind, expect to sink a minimum of 75-80 into decent shoes... You HAVE to get good shoes for running. You can't buy what you need at a grocery store if you plan to do more than walk on the treadmill at a gym.

    Shox are NEVER running shoes. They put your foot at an angle as if you are wearing high heels and cause issues ranging from shin splints, stress fractures to back pain. Save them for cross training and strength classes.
