Making Ghost Pictures in Frames

Shannon Frye
This craft is very fun to do with your significant other and your children as well. You can even do this with friends if you would like to. It's very fun and easy to do. The first thing you will need to do is go to the craft store and purchase some different materials. You will need to purchase some sheets of construction paper, and pick out a good size picture frame that the paper will fit inside. You can cut the paper if you need to. You will also want to purchase some different types of glitter as well. Make sure that you purchase construction paper that is orange and black in color.

Now you are going to draw out a basic pumpkin face and shape on one piece of construction paper. The design that you are drawing should be able to be cut out. Draw eyes that you can cut out of the paper. To cut the eyes out you will fold the paper gently where the eyes are and cut out the eyes from the piece of paper. You will need to create some type of basic noise and some teeth as well. It's best to make these forms really easy to cut out. Do not crease the paper so that you can see it because you will be placing this in a frame.

Once you have the eyes, nose and mouth cut out you can cut out the basic shape of the pumpkin. You will want to remove at least a one inch strip all the way around the pumpkin to show the form of the pumpkin and the stem. Once you are done you will want to glue the piece of paper onto a full sheet of construction paper which is the opposite color. If you cut out everything on an orange sheet of paper you can glue it onto black paper.

Now it's time to create some fun with the glitter. You can purchase orange and black glitter to give the picture a little bit more color. You can create eyes which are completely glitter or some glitter teeth. You can do whatever you want to. After you have used the glitter you will want to let the picture dry for at least a day before you place it inside of the frame. You can cut the paper down so that it will fit in the frame well. You can use the glitter to spell out what year the picture was made in or the child's name if you are doing this with a child.
