Making Good into Better

How God Thought to Make a Man's Life Better

David Patrick
I noticed that in the Genesis story that God took 6 days to make everything and after each day he called what he had made "good." So I imagine Him sitting back hanging out with Adam and thinking to Himself... "Everything is looking good, but I can make good better with Adam. This boy needs some help."

God's Solution to making "Good" into "Better" was creating a Woman!

I thought that was sort of interesting. Two points:

1. To the Husband: God gave you and Adam a wife to make "good" into "better." He thought that you were going to need the help. Which could possibly mean that without that wife of yours on your team and you valuing her input you will have to settle for just "good" (if you can get that far). Be Humbled.

2. To the Wife: God created you as an "extension" of his goodness in the earth. You are supposed to be bringing good and helping to take what's there and making it "better" every place you go. If you are doing opposite of this and doing more damage and tearing down, you are going against your very design and make-up. Big Responsibility. Be Humbled.
