I have watched my customers and have found out there are lots of them bringing in their dogs with them so I started selling dogie treats. One site I go to buy wholesale is pup cakes.com. They sell puppy cake mix that is made especially for dogs. It has all natural ingredients that is safe for dogs. For example chocolate is bad for dogs due to the high amounts of caffeine in it so they use carob instead of chocolate. It tastes just like chocolate with out the harmful effects. They also have banana cake mix. So if you like to celebrate your dogs birthday and want to make them a safe treat here is where to get it.
I take the cake mix and make up some small pup cakes (cupcakes) and ice them with colored yogurt and put pepperoni sticks on them for candles. i sell quite a few of these. You can also make small cakes and do the same. I will also take a dog biscuit recipe ,cut it out using a donut cutter, bake it and frost it with colored yogurt frosting and put a few candy sprinkles or unsalted crushed nuts on it. These are great sellers too. To color the yogurt use only food paste coloring made for food. Don't use food coloring as it is harmful to dogs.
If you enjoy drinking beer and eating pizza , let your dog enjoy it too. Make him a home made pizza from a dog bone recipe. Tom it off with a small amount tomato paste and put some slices of pepperoni on it and a very small amount of cheese. For his beer go to prestigious.com to get him some dogie beer. it is a non alcohol beer. It is made especially for dogs. However it is quite expensive. it runs about 20.00 for a 6 pack. But hey he deserves his beer to doesn't he?
Here is a cool idea for a birthday cake for your dog. Could also be used for a cat. This is a layered cake.

Grease and flour 2 8" round cake pans. Combine flour and baking powder. Mix together in other bowl butter, eggs and oil. Add chicken and carrots mix until smooth.Pour into 2 8" pans. Bake at 325 for 60 minutes.Let cool.
