All you have to do is make a playlist like Alarm or something like that and leave iTunes on that playlist. When you set the alarm it will play the first song on that playlist to wake you up peacefully in the morning. Be sure you set the volume or you could be screwed in the morning if it's too loud and trust me that doesn't make for a pleasant morning. If you want some awesome songs to wake up to go to the bottom of this post for a bunch of my favorites.
If you don't have iTunes you could always get a friend to make a CD and get a CD player alarm clock to wake you up to your favorite song.
If you can't do either of those how about downloading your favorite song as a ringtone on your cell phone and using that as your alarm clock? I pretty much would do anything to avoid an annoying screeching sound in my ear to wake me up. The song I wake up to is Jessica by The Allman Brothers Band. I don't know how anyone could wake up to that song and not have a great day!
Okay so you want to make a playlist in your iTunes that plays the best parts of your songs. Well start off by making a regular playlist in iTunes you know using file New Playlist. Then add your songs to that playlist. The ones that really get you pumped and ready to do cardio or lift weights!
Then in order to set the songs to start and stop when you want right click on a each song, go to Get Info, then choose the options tab. Check the Start Time and Stop Time boxes. Put in the times you want them to start and stop and ta da you have an awesome playlist.
There is a script you can download but it's really annoying so I do it myself. I personally like making my own playlist when I'm doing interval training so then I can play a song for a minute, then i insert a ding, then play a song for 2 minutes, insert a ding and so on.
Well that about sums it up for making an iTunes playlist. If you need songs just check out the MP3 thing ad on the right you can get some pretty sweet songs for cheaper than you can get them on iTunes then just import them.
