Take a piece of fabric and cover an elastic with the fabric to last a month longer in those jeans that are getting a little too tight, Pull the elastic through the button hole, and loop the other end of the elastic around the button. This is going to work without having the jeans tailored and without ruining them for future use.
Alternatively, the jeans can be tailored right there at home to make them wearable throughout the duration of the pregnancy. It is easy to do, all you need is a piece of stretchy fabric that can be inserted to hug the tummy, and keep the jeans in place. The jeans should be cut in a circular motion from the left to right seam; right below where the zipper would have began in the jeans. There should be at least a half inch of fabric on each side of the jeans to attach the cotton or Lycra panel to, in the jeans.
Once this panel has been cut, measure, and sews in the new fabric panel. This panel can be any color of your choice. At the top of the panel, much like yoga pants, it can be left as is, or an elastic top can be sewn in the pants by attaching the elastic to the top layer, than making a fold, and sewing the fold, voila - an easy elastic pair of maternity jeans that are broken in, and they can be an old favorite.
Use today's styles to accompany you throughout your pregnancy. Many shirts are stylish as an empire waistline or very loose fitting, or bubble fitting. During this style period, many of these tops, shirts, and blouses can be worn to accompany you throughout your pregnancy.
As for maternity clothes to wear throughout your pregnancy to the office consider tailoring fitted and otherwise button down shirts with a back panel to accompany the new tummy. This panel is more than likely going to be hidden by jackets, and is therefore a feasible, do it yourself option for those moms who are working until they give birth.
There are many options that women have with clothing, including experimenting with different fits that can bring them right through the pregnancy
Consider flowing caftan dresses in the summer, these are some of the easiest dresses to craft and they are often one piece. You can find a simple pattern at the local fabric store. As well as purchasing the material, you can choose a light, flowing material that will accommodate the tummy even adding in ruching to the sides, or a drawstring that adds a flair of style, and changes the shapelessness of the dress.
