The first thing you do is come up with some quirky little service you can provide. You know how trends work! If it's eccentric enough, it will catch on like wildfire. The issue you have at this point is how much to charge and what ridiculous service you can talk your millionaire friend into purchasing.
Let's look at some of the things millionaires are willing to spend top dollar to acquire. Assistants are number one. Why should a millionaire move a finger? If there's anything a millionaire needs, there is an assistant to do it. But, you don't want to follow a millionaire around all day or be on call. So, let's think of something else.
Fitness instructors are more like the type of thing I'm talking about. They set up appointments with about three or four millionaires a week and make tons of money for only a few hours worth of work. The rest of the time belongs to them.
But, let's get on to something else. You are trying to make your splash and move on from it. You don't want to be stuck in some quirky career for the rest of your life unless it's something you absolutely enjoy, right?
To hit the nail on the head with the perfect type of idea I'm leading you toward, think of something stupid like "Dipping Pet's Paws." You know how much millionaires love their pets. Anything that you can think of doing for the pet has always worked in the past. Pet walkers. Pet groomers. Pet therapists. Ringing a bell yet?
If you get your millionaire friend to start the process, you can have all of her friends doing it too. Now, come up with the price. If it's not expensive, it's not worth bragging about. So, shoot high. But, not too high. Some millionaires aren't absolute morons. Remember, some of them actually earned their money and have respect for it even though they still like to live lavishly.
But, the first millionaire gets to brag about how she spent twenty thousand dollars on getting the "Cat's Paws Dipped." Then, it becomes a trend in the millionaire circles. There's life to the market because it grows into something all the millionaires have to have. It becomes an "all the rage" type of thing.
In the millionaire's clubs where they go for their afternoon drink and game of racquetball, they talk about your service, "I just spent twenty thousand dollars having my cat's paws dipped."
"Oh yeah, I have an appointment to have mine done today."
Do the math! Twenty thousand dollars isn't something to make a millionaire bulk. The money drops out of their pockets just reaching for their cell phones. Do five dogs or cats a week and you're making One Hundred Thousand Dollars A Week. If the trend lasts three months, which is the shelf life for just about anything anymore, you've made over a million.
I know. Even the cat is sitting in the corner looking at its owner saying, "What's up with this?" But, that's really not the point now is it? The point is you started a trend and it will get old quick. They'll do it for awhile until another thing comes along.
Everyone in the millionaire circle is getting their cats' paws dipped. The key is that you have to be smart. Stay on top of the trend and don't push. Before your trend gets old and you have no more millionaire contacts, it's time for you to come up with the next idea to suck the saps out of yet more money.
By this time, you are a millionaire and it might not matter to you. But, you can keep going. Every couple of years, you can come up with something else like Limo Driver Appreciation Day or Caviar Garnished Mountain Oysters.
Remember, the target is the eccentric millionaire. Could you imagine the conversation at the club? "I just sent my limo driver on a day. He gets to enjoy a massage and a dinner on me."
"Oh, that's nice. Yesterday, I ordered a case of Caviar Garnished Mountain Oysters for my next ball."
"Ooh, I'm going to have to look into that?"
And Voila! You are a millionaire. Enjoy! Just remember, go ahead and throw some of your money at a few stupid ideas every once in awhile. After all, that's how you got there!
