Making Money with Online Surveys

Everyone loves making a few extra bucks here and there. Using the internet to make money has been a recent trend as well. People are writing blogs, selling products, and some people are even getting paid to be part of market research surveys! Instead of going down to a conference center somewhere and sitting in boring interviews, now companies will give you cash to participate in surveys over the internet.

Before getting started with these companies, here are a few ground rules. Never pay to join a survey company, there are plenty of free good ones. Payment should be as cash, or just as good as it. Coupons and free samples really aren't worth your time. Stay away from surveys that put you in a drawing to win money, it's like filling out a survey for a lottery ticket. Take surveys which pay cash! It's okay to fill in qualifier surveys, this way they know who you are and why they might want to question you.

When it comes to online survey companies, there are three major ones that you should take a look at. The first is called American Consumer Opinion. They make payments via check and send them through the postal service. The surveys that they offer pay from $5 to $50. They will notify you of available by surveys, and then if you are interested, they will give you a screener questionnaire and if you qualify the link to fill out the survey. They have been around for years and are a very reputable company.

MyView, which was formally called Survey Direct is another good company to deal with when filling out surveys. Their surveys generally pay about $2.00 each and the money is dropped right into your PayPal account. The surveys range from magazine covers to voting preferences to movie trailers. They will send out emails with a short qualifier survey, and then will tell you if you qualify for the survey. If you do you can immediately begin filling out the survey. It does take a while for the money to get put into your PayPal account, often a few weeks, so patience is a must.

I Think Inc is the third major company. They offer a mix of "maybe pay" surveys and paid surveys. The company pays by check on an intermittent basis. They will send you an email when a survey is available and also tell you if the survey is a paid survey or a "maybe pay" survey.

A lot of people can be very successful at this. If you are a highly targeted focus group, such as young adult Caucasian males, you will probably get a lot more surveys, and that's just the way it is. If you don't fit into a highly targeted demographic, you'll still probably make some money too.
