Have you just started writing online and are wondering how to make money writing for AC? Or have you written for AC for a year or more, and find the income is not what was anticipated? Train yourself to think in search engine terms. If you were searching for a particular subject, ask yourself, what search terms would I use?"

How to Write Compelling Headlines for Search Engines by Phebe A. Durand
Phebe Durand currently has 6,907,523 page views, and although her article doesn't pertain directly to writing for AC, it does give good general information as well as three ways to write headlines:

How to Achieve Your Financial Goals Writing for Associated Content by Ann Siper
With 22,446,319 page views under her belt, AC contributor, Ann Siper, presents some great tips. She gives the four steps she goes through when writing for Associated Content, including the fact that she writes, spell checks, and proofs an entire set of articles at once. This time saving article is well worth the few minutes it takes to read it.

What Are Some of the Benefits of Writing Evergreen Articles for the Web? by Sophie S
Although this article doesn't pertain strictly to writing for AC, the topic is one of great importance for earning good upfront payments and page views at AC. Anyone who is intent on making money at AC needs to understand the reasons behind writing evergreen articles. Sophi gives the definition for an evergreen article and states, "An evergreen article is an article that does not just feature the here and now ... The information contained within an evergreen article will have lasting value and continue to be sought after long after the article has been published."

Articles that Don't Generate Page Views on Associated Content by Jennifer Claerr
Having 3,559,333 page views to her credit puts Jennifer Claerr in a good position to advise others on what works at AC and what doesn't. She gives a list of topics that include-among others-movie reviews and spam. She feels some of the topics might work in niche situations, but don't necessarily generate a lot of page views, overall. The article is long, but it's well worth the time for the tips contained in it.

Take a few minutes to read through these AC articles, and then apply them to all of your online writing. It's possible you may find that after following the concepts presented, you're making money writing for AC after all!
