Making the Most of Fall: Driving Up to the Sierra Nevada Mountains

Wonderful Fresh Air and Great Scenery in the the Fall

Darrin Atkins
Autumn is my favorite season of all because every year I drive up to the Sierra Nevada mountains to visit my family at their place up there. It's a glorious time of great mountain air and beautiful scenery.

The Fall season is wonderful for many reasons, of course, and has always been my favorite time of year. Maybe you share some of my same feelings about this time of year.

I love the fresh autumn air in the mountains during this time of year. Everything smells wonderful, from ths morning mist to the evergreen trees to the pine cones all over the ground.

The weather is just perfect in the Fall season, and is just right. The summer heat is in the past and the winter's snow is yet to come.

The Fall season is a perfect time for taking photos of nature. Up in the Sierra Nevada mountains, the leaves on the trees start to turn color and so the photos are more colorful than any other time of year.

I can't wait for November when once again I get to drive up to the Sierra Nevada mountains and visit my family for the holidays. This year I plan to take more photos of nature than ever before. And like last year, I hope for more photos of deer that happen to stray onto the family property.
