A Poem
I was making plans for the future
And you were just making time
It's sad I didn't know that before now
I left my heart open
You kept your mind closed
You never wanted anything from me
I believed that you cared for me
But it was all a game for you
I was making plans for tomorrow
but we would never make it through today
I wish I had realized before now
That we were never going to be
But I was too busy thinking of the future
And you already made me a part of your past
