Making Smart Wedding Decisions

Start Life Together Debt Free

Getting married is a major event in anyone's life. A wedding can be more expensive than it is memorable, unless you find ways to save on wedding costs. Wedding expenses should not snare newlyweds into debt as they try to embark on their lives together. Many are feeling the stress of the decisions they have to make for the big day to come. With a few smart choices, you can still have the wedding you want.

The most sensible way to get married, in my opinion, is to elope. Eloping has many benefits. It is the ultimate in private ceremonies. If you truly want a memory that is truly between you and your intended, then elope! Do without the frills and use the money instead for the adjustment period after the wedding. You can buy a marriage license and have the ceremony performed by a justice of the peace for under one-hundred dollars. It is a simple process with minimal stress and fuss, and no lingering debt.

If you simply must have the wedding ceremony then save money in other ways. The Internet, for instance, is a good place to begin looking. You can buy absolutely everything you need for a wedding, on the web site www.Ebay.com. There is always a selection of wedding dresses and tuxedos for much less than retail and; you can even find things like unique art glass wedding reception centerpieces. Search through the Ebay stores and you can find many things that you might need for your dream wedding and reception.

Reserving a location for a wedding and reception can be very time consuming. Keep in mind when picking out locations, that family homes, cottages, or small country churches are usually less costly than banquet halls and churches with large overhead. Having a wedding at home personalizes the occasion, as well as saving you the expense of doing otherwise.

Weddings do not have to put you in the poor house nor is it necessary to take out a loan to cover the cost. Just shop wisely and choose a location that accommodates yourbudget. By saving the money now, you will start married life by making smart choices.

Remember though: if you want to go the uncomplicated route and would prefer not to wait on all of the formalities that a wedding entails, you can always elope, and begin your life together free of debt!
