Operation
The Makita BTD144 cordless impact driver is equipped with a 3-speed power selection switch. This allows you to use the tool in soft, medium, and hard materials. The three orbital speed settings include 0-1,300, 0-2,000, and 0-2,600 RPM. The driver also has impact settings of 0-1,300, 0-2,800, and 0-3,400 IPM.
Motor
The motor inside the Makita BTD144 can produce up to 1,420 inch-pounds of torque. Also, it's a brushless design. This helps increase efficiency which in turn helps improve the run-time of the battery.
Battery
The Makita BTD144 impact driver is powered by an 18-volt LXT Li-Ion battery. You're provided with two so you'll always have one ready to go. The included charger recharges the battery in approximately 30 minutes. The tool has a warning light to indicator when it's time to recharge the battery.
Light
Another useful feature offered by the Makita BTD144 impact driver is the integrated LED light. It helps illuminate the surface so you can clearly see what you're doing. You can also turn the light on and off independently of the tool.
Includes
The Makita BTD144 driver has a 1/4-inch hex chuck. It's specially designed to allow for quick bit changes. You're provided with a tool belt clip as well as a case with the driver.
Design
The Makita BTD144 features a compact and lightweight design. It weighs just over three pounds and is 5.5 inches long. This means you won't experience much fatigue. The tool is backed by a three year warranty while the battery and charger are covered for one year.
The Makita BTD144 impact driver offers a maximum speed of 2,600 RPM and 3,400 IPM. The motor can produce up to 1,420 inch-pounds of torque. A warning light will go off to let you know when it's time to recharge the battery.
