Yes everyone, I am so proud of the fact that I live right next door to a county that has legalized male prostitution in addition to female prostitution. It is quite amazing what kind of situation our wonderful state is in. Our wonderful taxpayer dollars were put towards the vote that took place on this topic. Here we are living in a state that has a crippling education system (and the dumbest one to boot), a crippled economy, high levels of crime, and corrupt politicians as far as the eye can see. Even with all these problems that need to be taken care of, our state was more worried about legalizing male prostitution. Here is what our state is dealing with (Associated Press):
Our state agencies are being asked to reduce their budgets by 6, 8, or even 10%.
An 8% cut to our higher education system would mean that another $13.3 million dollars would be cut.
These cuts are meant to offset a $72 million shortfall.
That's right everyone, the money that these male prostitutes are going to bring in is going to end all of our problems.
So the question is, is there any benefit to the newly legalized male prostitution? Will it affect me in any serious way? It will not benefit me or my family in any way. Also, it will not bring any kind of economic relief to our poor state. As far as this equality of the sexes deal goes, huh? We are worried about the fact that women should be able to have sex with men prostitutes since men can have sex with women prostitutes? Even with everything else going on in this world, people are more concerned about making prostitution fair for everyone? Yes everyone, this is the state I live in. Best part is that Las Vegas is only about forty five minutes to an hour from Pahrump which is also located in Nye County, the legalized prostitution capital of the United States.
Am I for this move? Well, I guess I might as well be, right? I mean, there is absolutely nothing I can do about it. If Nye County wants it, let them have it. On the bright side, I guess it is better that a customer goes to a place where health regulations are met. The male prostitutes are now required to get urethral exams which, in turn, allows them to get tested for STDs. People no longer have to pick up the STD-ridden prostitutes on the Las Vegas Strip or in downtown Las Vegas (which is dangerous and illegal). Hopefully our rates of HIV and STD infections will go down significantly. The prevention of HIV passage has been rather successful. I guess this is a benefit to those who are into this type of business.
