Maltese are companion pups that love to be around people especially there master. if you don't like affectionate breed pups then the Maltese is not for you. If you do alot of traveling and your Maltese id not with you then this breed is not for you cause Maltese don't like to be left alone for extended periods of time.

if you already have another pet even if it is a cat the Maltese will love this. The Maltese is by far not selfish and lot the companion of people and other pets. So you want go into this blind you need to know what you are in search for. Maltese are almost always white and if it's not then it's not a full breed Maltese when it is full grown it should be around 6 pounds. Maltese are not fans of to much and this can cause them to get sunburn so be careful on sunny days when you puppy is out and about. They are quick to bark if that hear something that sounds unfamiliar or suspicious. Be aware that when Maltese are outdoors that are prone to jumping in puddles especially mud just a fair warning cause the clean up can be a mess.
Washing your Maltese face daily with a warm cloth will do great justice because Maltese tends to have tear-stain around there eyes, but when there face is washed daily this want become a problem. As a result Maltese are very nice tempered pups, but can be high maintenance. If you should decide to get a Maltese know that they are very costly. Maltese are very attractive, and such a famous breed and very charming not to mention desirable and this is why that are expensive, but worth the price that you pay.
