Mamma, Why the Sky is Blue!

A Colorful Poem for Kids

Minni K

Mamma, why the sky is blue!

Blackbirds and crows are black as ink

Muddy elephants grey, fat piggies pink

Mom you have a sweet smile, you never frown

I love your warm eyes and hair so brown

Lavenders and violets are violet

They look like a quite sunset

Since trees and grass make the scene

They come in all shades of green

In Fall everything looks spooky and strange

with Pumpkins and Halloween and falling leaves all orange

And daffodils look so mellow

They had to be so warm yellow

Like morning dew, beautiful and bright

Down the field, dancing daisies are white

For friendship, honor, peace and love true

Roses come in all rich color hues

But, of one thing I have no clue

Mamma, why the sky is so blue!
