Anthony Martin, a 23-year-old Detroit man, was arrested by Ferndale Police after a tip revealed that Martin had threatened someone with a gun. Police tracked down his Ford Windstar minivan and pulled him over. That's when they found out that Martin has never had a driver's license, had a warrant out for his arrest for a marijuana conviction, and was carrying $2,600 in cash. Instead of going in easy, Martin, while in the back of the police cruiser, attempted to bribe his way out of his jam by offering the officer half of his money.

Instead of pulling off a quick one, Martin only made is situation worse. He was charged with attempting to bribe an officer, which comes with a maximum sentence of four years in prison. He was also charged with possession of marijuana. He is currently jailed on a $10,000 cash bond and will attend his preliminary examination on September 30.
