Man Who Raped Daughter and Broadcast it Over the Internet Gets 60 Years
Steven Pease who has been in jail since August was found guilty of rape, incest, child molestation, aggravated child molestation and aggravated sexual battery. According to the AJC, Pease pleaded guilty in January to all the charges.
Pease, 40, raped his 12 year old daughter and molested her 5 and 7 year old sisters, all the while filming the abuse. He broadcast the footage in internet chat rooms. The police have stated that the abuse occurred while the mother was at work.
The 12 year old victim told the police that the abuse went on for several months, and that Pease had a web cam set up in his room and would chat with people over the internet, asking them what sex acts he should perform next.
The defendant's attorney, Monique Walker, attempted to have the sentence reduced to probation, and suggested chemical castration to ensure that her client would not abuse anyone else.
The prosecutor initially requested a life sentence for Pease, but agreed that due to his age, the likelihood of him taking another breath outside of prison walls would be slim to none.
