Man Versus Mother Nature

Man thinks this planet was only created for us.

No one told him this. Man says just because.

Despite evidence that creatures came before him

Man still insists all this is for him.

Sometimes he uses religious ideology

To further his premise

Other times he just guesses.

Nevertheless, we know his rationale makes no sense.

Faith requiring no evidence He sticks to

When Mother Nature could tell him a thing or two.

Supreme Being, Allah, Lord, Jesus Christ

Anything that man can grasp, hold onto

To make him unaccountable and selfish.

Too late for his regrets of thoughts and deeds

His materialistic pursuit of greed.

Because His corruption worsens

More than a few.

There are scandals that affect many

Man does this plenty.

Stealing people's gold

Still, he never gets it.

That real people do not care

If they're screwed

As long as they have their soul.

This is what man affords to lose

Except when he misbehaves, he speaks for

The rest of the world.

So what do we do?

Do we wait until these natural disaster stories become real?

Ask for grace a day before Armageddon.

Perform tokens of repentance

Only to reduce our Father's sentence.

Alternatively, instead, do we pretend nothing is happening,

Ignore our Lord's presence,

And continue destroying everything we walk on.

This only adds to our list

Of transgressions.
