Man Wearing Dress Mounts Dog at English Castle

Having published my Offbeat News stories on a Wednesday, the weird news events just don't stop there, and sometimes there are some that just beg to be written about.

This is just one such story...

Two women were walking their dogs at Pendennis Castle, near Falmouth in Cornwall, England, when they saw someone on their own, who looked odd, wearing a black dress and also walking around the castle.

As they got closer, it was obvious that this not a woman, it was a man dressed in woman's clothing.

Realising that he had been spotted, the man ran away, which caused one of the dogs to chase after him.

By the time the two women caught up with him, the man had mounted the dog and was obviously having sex with it.

Staff at the castle were notified, and they held the man until the police arrived.

The man, aged 33, made a full confession to the police, who took him home and gave him a caution for "outraging public decency". He has now apparently been handed over to other agencies.

The incident happened in the castle Moat, which is dry, but has steep sides.

Pendennis Castle was built between 1540 and 1545 by Henry VIII, he of many wives, to guard the entrance to the River Fal, and to protect the port of Falmouth. It is now operated by the English Heritage, and a popular tourist attraction in the area.

A spokesperson for the English heritage said that incidents like this are very rare.

Well I would hope so - at least in public places...

Well I have heard of people doing unnatural things with animals, dogs in particular, something you wouldn't dream of (well most people wouldn't) years ago, but if it did happen you would expect it to be somewhere private at least.

Rumours have circulated for years of sheep in places like Wales and New Zealand being "worried" by people having a strange affection for them, and even Woody Allen featured a sheep wearing lingerie in his movie "Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Sex But Were Afraid To Ask", but this story is just too bizarre don't you think?

It not only takes place in a public place, where the man is likely to be seen and caught, but he is also dressed as a woman, which makes it that much weirder.

I wonder if we will hear any more details about this incident?

This is definitely a strange world that we live in, and people certainly have some strange ways of getting into the news these days.
