The 3 Questions

Deciding what to buy is something that many of us do without the element of thought. Many times it is the product of a reaction to advertising, or just something we think we need in general. But how do we decide what to buy? How do we affectively manage our money? The Tips for deciding what and not to buy are as follows:

Can I Afford it?

Deciding what to buy can be something as simple as knowing if you can afford it. However, many of us buy things we know that we cannot afford. This puts many people in debt, to find out later it's wiser just to buy what we have the money for off hand. But if we continue to buy things we cannot afford, then sooner or later we're going to have to stop and turn around. Sooner or later, we're going to have to pay back the debt.

Do I Need It?

Another tip on deciding what we should buy is to decide whether or not we need it. It is better to buy first the things you personally feel you most need, instead of first buying the things you feel won't do you any good. Many times we buy things that do very little for our survival and ignore other things that do much. Whether it is food, a house, a car, a movie, clothing, or music, only you can decide what you feel would be the most beneficial at the time. But the key is to actually ponder and consider all the possibilities and choose the best one.

Is it a Good Brand/Product?

Not all products are good. Other some things may be cheap, do you feel that it will serve the intended advertised purposes. Even if things are high prices, are you sure it is a good product as proclaimed? Do research on the things that you buy to make sure you're actually getting what you're paying for. Many times we buy things to find out later it is broken, or doesn't work as intended.

Therefore, before you buy anything ask yourself those three questions. This will avoid you in making mistakes, buying things that don't work out. If you persistently ask yourself those three questions, and answer them honestly, then you can assure you're making a good purchase: one that will not take all your money, one that will help you live happily, and one that actually works.
