Manchester United Rumoured to Be Offering Wayne Rooney a New Contract- is Rooney Worth £150 000 a Week
Wayne Rooney has won many honours with Manchester United since he joined the club from Everton in 2004. Wayne's honours won with Manchester United so far include two League Cups, three Premier League titles, and one Champions League medal; not bad for a 24 year old. In the 2009-2010 season Wayne Rooney has played 30 games for United in the Premier League and scored 26 goals, a pretty impressive record. His record in the 2009-2010 Champions League competition is also equally impressive with Rooney scoring 5 goals in 7 games. The birth of his son Kai, seemed to inspire Rooney's performance on the pitch, and if you asked any Manchester United supporter who earns the weekly wage the most they would no doubt say Rooney.
Manchester United lost key players last season; Carlos Tevez and Cristiano Ronaldo, and at times it was noticed what great assets these players were for United. In saying that Rooney did shine thoughout the season, but if these two players were still present one can only think United would be top of the Premiership now, and still in the Champions League. If United were to lose Wayne Rooney there is no way they would look as invincible and score as many goals as they have done this season. Manchester United can not do without Wayne Rooney. For this reason I hope the new contract deal being offered to Wayne Rooney is not just a rumour but in fact reality.
