The Mangano Method is yet another way to help a person lower his or her cholesterol. This method was developed not by a doctor, but by a person who wanted to help his mother lower her cholesterol. He did this by research only and developed an e-book that can be purchased in which it lists a sixty-day plan to help lower a person's cholesterol. This method is no different from a dietary plan or exercise plan that is given by a person's physician.

How is Works

In its simplest terms, a change of diet is the key to lowering a person's cholesterol as well as adding exercise to his or her lifestyle. These changes do not happen overnight, it should be a gradual change. If a person changes his or her diet suddenly, it can lead to gastrointestinal problems, although the problems are only temporary and uncomfortable.

The Mangano Method includes in its dietary claims, that certain foods help lower and even remove cholesterol and avoid foods that are high in saturated fats, which include eggs and dairy. There is a nutritional supplement that can bind cholesterol and help remove it from the body and that supplement is soluble or dietary fiber. This form of fiber can be found in such foods as whole grains, oats and even fruit such as pears, oranges and carrots can help dissolve and remove.

By adding certain herbs and spices to a person's meal can help lower the bad cholesterol as well as raising the good cholesterol that the body needs to heal and work properly as stated by the Mangano Method. Such herbs and spices include; Garlic - this spice is often dubbed a wonder herb, as not only can it lower a person's cholesterol up to fifteen percent, it has the added benefit of also lowering blood pressure. Artichoke Leaf - helps limit the body's production of cholesterol. A person should remember that it cannot be drenched in high fat toppings. Ginger - helps impair the body from cholesterol absorption as well as stimulate the conversation of cholesterol into bile in the stomach, which can be easily be removed from the body. Guggul - this herb can be found at a person's local health food store and it is believed to help prevent arteriosclerosis. Cayenne Pepper -not only does it add spice to any meal, it is the best known cholesterol reducers as it helps the body process fat fast without absorbing into the body. A person can take Cayenne Pepper in capsule for which can be found at his or her local health food store.

Exercise is also another important factor to help a person lower his or her cholesterol. A person does not have to go to a gym to exercise; he or she should find something that is enjoyable, such as walking the dog, outdoor sports, decorating, or even the dreaded house cleaning as a form of exercise. It only matters that a person moves for at least thirty minutes a day every day to help his or her diet in lowering cholesterol.
