To my dear friend Lisa,
In another country.
So nice spending time with you,
Even if it was on the phone.
You were so nice,
I wanted to bring you home.
This was not the right time,
Since we never spoke before.
But an ice cream date,
We could surely adore.
You are coming to California,
To visit dear ole dad,
I am sure the time,
Will be the best you've ever had.
Tried to get you to come to Alabama,
Since it is not so far away,
But you decided,
It would be another day.
Now I wait to get to know you,
Such a nice thing to do,
It will take some time,
With a friendship so new.
But this is ok for there's plenty of time,
