Manny Pacquiao's Last Fight Ever; Antonio Margarito Will Take the Win?
It Sounds like Manny Pacquiao is Leaving Boxing for His Love of Politics
In his home country of the Philippines, Pacquiao won a seat in congress. His political career is taking off and the people of this country adore him. Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach, believes the boxing world is going to lose Pacquiao to politics, which is becoming his first love, over the sport of boxing.
Pacquiao did make a statement that he would only do one more fight after he was elected, and this fight with Margarito may just be it. As the BBC points out, this would mean the world would never get to see the 31-year-old Pacquiao fight Floyd Mayweather.
Mayweather and Pacquiao were set up for a fight in January, but Pacquiao refused Mayweather's demands that he submit to random blood and urine tests. This caused the fight to fall by the wayside, according to the BBC.
On Sunday, the fight promoter, Bill Arums, flew in to watch Pacquiao train for his upcoming fight with Margarito. According to the Business Insight Sports, "Arum rang the alarm bells" due to Pacquiao not being up to speed.
Considering the news came from the promoter, it may be just a way to make the fight more exciting. Pacquiao has been favored to win this fight.
Arum's observations, along with Roach's claims that Pacquiao has fallen out of love with boxing, make it look as if Pacquiao may actually have a good chance at losing this match.
Roach said to the BBC, "we are fighting against a big, strong guy and we haven't had the best training camp."
Pacquiao also does not have his heart into the sport anymore, according to the man who would know, his trainer. This does sound like excuses already for a possible loss in this fight.
Margarito, on the other hand, is so sure about a win that he made a deal with his sponsor, Affliction. If Margarito wins, he gets a five-figure pay check. If he loses, he gets nothing, according to The LA Times.
This fight, which is due to take place on Nov. 13 in the Cowboys Stadium just outside of Dallas, Texas, appears to be morphing into something different than it started out to be.
The Paquiao win is not such a sure thing at this time. Roach says that usually Paquiao can have his sparring session and do 12 rounds the next day. This is not possible at this time. With just a few more weeks of training left to go, Paquiao could turn things around, but not if his heart is not really in the sport.

Post a CommentManny should have entered politics at around age 40 or late 30 at the least.
Filipino's really have a dumb habit in electing celebrities into politics, which is why our political side sucks. In the philippines, political elections is a popularity contest.
Who's BILL ARUMS???
I hope Pacquiao will realize the true fact that he was only elected as congressman because of his accomplishment in boxing. It is a fact, and I hope Pacquiao will admit it, that the very big factor that made him won in the past election was his popularity caused by his winnings in boxing. Therefore, once he retires from boxing, Pacquiao's popularity in politics will surely die down. People will even simply forget him.

you are one lazy blogger or you have an agenda against pacquiao? do your research before you write nonsense. pacquiao already agreed on drug testing as demanded by floyd and for your info there was second negotiation not only one, go back to your cave if you cannot research on that.
Pac: I'm fighting Margarito. Who're you gonna fight?
Floyd: I'm gonna fight the best available fighter out there.
Berto: Fight me!
Floyd: you're Not PPV attraction...
Martinez: Fight me!
Williams: Fight me!
Floyd: Your all middleweight suckers!
Khan: Fight me!
Bradley: Fight me!
Floyd: Fight me at 154 beyatch! hahahaha
Donaire: Fight me!
Floyd: Are you challenging me?! LETS GET IT ON!!!

but Pacquiao refused Mayweather's demands that he submit to random blood and urine tests. This caused the fight to fall by the wayside, according to the BBC. ????? .... Pacman already agreed to have the test but your gay , i mean your guy is so afraid to fight him and uses all the excuses and alibis.
By the way, please update yourself and be fair.......
win or loss still still pacman has nothing to be ashame of, hes a great fighter. but my forecast margarito will drop in 6th round
yeah! i have the most accurate feeling that margarito will KO pacquiao. this fight will be the downfall of him: he's so distracted because he seems to be a one-man-band wishing, grasping to get all things for himself! he's a boxer, a bad singer, a bad actor, a businessman, a congressman, etc... he doesn't understand that despite all those things he wants, he is just a boxer!
