Neighborhood: Ferndale
Ferndale, MI 48220
United States of America
Just after 4:00 a.m. on September 25, Ferndale Police responded to calls about a barking dog in the area of West Chesterfield and Woodward. When police arrived, they found a dog barking in a backyard and the owner was no where to be seen. However, to the police, it looked like someone was home. Unfortunately, knocks on the front door went unanswered.

That's when Ferndale Police decided to check the back door, which was open. Thinking someone may be having a medical problem inside, police entered the home. They found the dog's owner sleeping on the couch. Unfortunately for the dog owner, police also found his rather large marijuana operation, including over 150 plants. The man let them search the rest of the home where they found a handgun.

That's at least one dog that bit the hand that fed him, and broke up a drug operation to boot.
