How would I live
Without the care
You so unknowingly give?
No longer rough bark
Or leaves from a tree
No rough hewn wipe
For sensitive skinned me
The thought of a world
Where you do not exist
Is a thought I can truly resist
So taken for granted
As you flutter through the world
From tree to package to sewer
Where you are carelessly hurled
Corn cobs, sears catalog, and
Newspaper had nothing on you
You rose quickly to fame
And those guys were through!
Coast to coast
Sea to sea
You went from luxury
To daily need
Toilet Paper! Toilet Paper!
Best invention of man
Now ostracized in public
They whisper your name
When all should be shouting
Your glory and fame
And thanking the universe
For the day you came!
