Man's Tradition Vs. God's Word

Imogen Rayne AAB BSCOM
Does everything that you have been taught about the Bible make sense? Do you ever wonder why man's creation is taught differently in our schools and churches? Is the earth truly a million years old, why are we finding dinosaur bones? Have you ever wondered why God created you and your family?

According to the Bible, we are created by God's for his pleasure only. Isn't that amazing, yet comforting to know, that we are able to please give our Heavenly Father pleasure. We all created unique by God and for one purpose. So, we aren't junk, we truly were made to please our divine creator!

Revelation 4:11 says, "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."(KJV)

Why are there so many different religions in the world today? How is each religion able to believe so differently? According to some religions, mankind has only been on earth for about two thousand years. However, many scientists have estimated that the earth is a million years old. Therefore, some believe that this disproves the Bible validity.

But, The Bible tell us that God created the earth in seven days, but 2 Peter 3:8 reminds us, "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." (KJV)

Could it be possible that the earth was created in 7,000 years? Instead of seven actually days like most religions believe? Genesis 2:4 states, "These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens."(KJV)

What does the "Generations of the Heavens and Earth" mean in Genesis 2:4? Why did God rest before making Adam? Genesis Ch. 2: 5-7 states, "And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."(KJV)

How come God made male and female on the sixth day, before he made Adam in Genesis 2? Is it possible that Adam was a separate creation than the male and females spoken of in the first chapter of Genesis? However, chapter two has a separate creation, does this make since? Does this explain the mystery of how the races got here on earth? Is it possible that we have been deceived by those, who think they truly understand God's plan?

Do you know you Holy Father? Have you thought that there is more to God's word than you were taught? Genesis Ch.1:26-28, "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth." (KJV)

Thousands of new words are added to the English language every year and some of the meanings have changed over time. How can you be sure that each word has been translated correctly to English? Have you ever actually read the entire Bible for yourself and studied each word closely? Hebrew or Chaldee (Old Testament) and Greek (New Testament) are the actual languages used by the original authors of each book of the Bible.

The first King James Version Bible* was finally completed in 1611 and authorized by King James 1 of England. The first translated Bible was written in Old English. It also contained more than 66 books, which were taken out of all the later versions. You can find the books that were removed in a book titled, "The Apocrypha: An American Translation" by Edgar J. Goodspeed. Who decided to take these books out of the Bible and why? The Bible was revised
extensively in the nineteen hundreds, now there are many different translations and versions of it. Over the centuries, many different types of religions have been born.

So, who is right and who is wrong? Are you willing to take such a gamble with your eternal soul? Have they have read the true manuscripts that were found and later became Bible? The original translators added two letters, one to King James and one to the reader. They warned that there may be some mistranslations. So, in order to make sure of the correct translation, you can consult the Dr. James Strong's "Exhausted Strong's Concordance". This book covers the original languages and the actual meaning of each word.

In fact, God wants you to learn his holy word, until you obtain the wisdom spoken of in Proverbs 8: 9-11, "They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge. Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it." (KJV)

So, why do we need a man to tell us what God wants from us? Any man will fall short of perfection; but, our heavenly father will never fail or give up on us. God's love and patience is long-suffering, but we are the ones that get so busy that we don't include him in our life. He doesn't ask for burnt offerings or impossible feats from us. Honestly, he just wants to be loved by us... nothing more and nothing less!

He will not let anyone take our soul from him, but we can risk losing our soul by lack of knowledge. He gave us a stern warning in Hosea 4:6; "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children."(KJV)

Have we lost the truth over the years, since the Bible was actually written? Will you study God's letter of love to you and learn more about your own Heavenly Father? Don't take anyone else's opinion on what God is saying to you, he is your personal father too! Every moment of every day, you have an open line of communication to God. He is waiting for you to talk with him, so be assured that you don't need a ritual or someone else to talk for you. All you have to do is begin praying to him in your mind, so only God can hear you. Satan can do a lot of things, but he can't read your mind or your thoughts. Do you follow God's plan for your life, instead of man's tradition?

Is there more to God's word, then you have been taught over the years? Don't be deceived by the traditions of men! Study the Bible for yourself and learn exactly, who your God truly is to you. Therefore, study diligently and you will find the spiritual father, who you long to know. Follow his teachings, so you gain the wisdom that he longs to give you.

Truly what's lost to men is not lost to God.
