Manti Motel in Manti, Utah

A Review

Derek Odom
Located at 445 North Main Street in Manti, Utah, this little motel sure does pack quite a punch! We were traveling a rather long distance, and because of a setback we were going to arrive later than expected to the room, which we had reserved earlier in the week. The lady at the desk told us it was no problem, and she'd leave the key out for us.

When we pulled in, it was after eleven-thirty, nearing midnight. Just as she had said, the key was there waiting for us and we checked into our room with zero issues. The room was quaint and in great shape. We were in Room #7 of the single-level, white and red building. Everything was as it should be, and we encountered no pitfalls or inconvenience.

Manti Motel offers a gorgeous view of the nearby Manti Temple, a Mormon worship center that is well over one-hundred years old. It stands majestically over everything else in the town, and is quite a sight to behold at night. There is a park across the street if you want to stretch your legs, and right next door there is a restaurant and ice cream parlor.

I needed to work and stay in contact on-the-go, and the wireless Internet at the Manti Motel connected quickly and was fast enough for all my needs. I simply turned on the laptop, found the signal and double-clicked. Although I must admit, being on the information super highway in such an old and history-rich area felt a bit odd. I could feel the history of Manti, and such technology felt like sacrilege.

In short, this author found everything he wanted and more in Manti Motel. The service was excellent, the motel was in great shape and the room was comfortable and safe-feeling. The surrounding areas provide an excellent insight to the heritage of Utah, as well. Small farms, pioneer cemeteries and friendly places to eat and shop seemed to be what the place was all about. Mark my words, I'll be back to the Manti Motel again.
