Another way to learn about reading and following maps is to go on a road trip. Parents can ask older kids to read the map to tell them where they're going. Younger children can listen to the parents explain the street signs, exits and so on. The old fashioned ways still work including discussing what's on the atlas and globe.

Enjoy getting where you're going.
