March Video Game Releases

March is here and it appears that the curse of the winter gaming months is just about over. It's time for the big releases to start making their way to consoles and PCs alike, and it couldn't have come at a better time. With quite literally only a handful big releases coming the first two months of this year, it's a welcome notion in the gaming community that things are going to turn around and turn around quickly starting in 2007.

God of War 2PlayStation 2March 13th Sony Computer Entertainment America undoubtedly has the largest release this March with God of War 2. Kratos' chronicle marches on as he seeks to change his destiny after losing his god hood. Fans will be able to utilize a host of new weapons, spells, along with the classic combo-inducing chains. The developer has also promised a new feel to the game in being able to manipulate the environment for puzzles and combat alike.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2Xbox 360March 8thUbisoft's GRAW series continues on the Xbox 360 and quite simply gamers are ecstatic. One of the most beautiful games ever to be released on any platform, GRAW 2 is looking to be an early contender for game of the year in several departments, such as overall game, FPS shooter, war game and probably a litany of others. A must own for any 360 owner.

Def Jam: IconMultiplatform March 6thThe massively popular Def Jam series continues this March with the release of Icon. The most noteworthy addition to the game is that music will directly effect the outcome of combat. Being able to truly to whoop someone to the beat and take full advantage of is a notion that many are looking forward to.

Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars PC March 26thThere simply is not a larger name when it comes to the RTS genre and Command and Conquer 3 is looking to snatch the title of best RTS ever right out of StarCraft or Company of Heroes hands. Beautifully crafted and chock full of features, fans of the long running series are in for a treat late this month when the title is released. Just make sure your PC is capable of handling it.

March is also going to be the month several are promising titles are going to be released.
