Marcus Camby, Portland Trail Blazers Rebound Past Memphis Grizzlies

Marcus Camby put on a show as the Portland Trail Blazers took out the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night (Jan. 24). Starting at center for the Blazers, Camby had 22 rebounds and 5 blocks in one of the best defensive games he has ever had. Camby also added 3 points, 1 assist and 2 steals to his stat line, helping the Blazers out-score the Grizzlies by 29 points when he was on the floor in this one.

The 97-84 win included holding the Grizzlies to just 13 points in the third quarter as the Blazers built up a 14-point lead heading into the fourth. It was a great way to follow up the win against the Sacramento Kings on Monday (Jan. 23), and shows that the team is starting to turn things around after a rough road trip. LaMarcus Aldridge scored 23 points and four other players were in double-figures as the Blazers overcame 20 turnovers to win the game easily.

This win gives the Blazers an 11-7 record and moves the team ahead of the 10-7 Grizzlies and 11-7 Dallas Mavericks to sit in the No. 6 playoff spot in the Western Conference. It also bumps the Los Angeles Lakers down to No. 10 and reveals that Kobe Bryant's team had better start winning games.

The Blazers now head out on the road for the final game of this back-to-back-to-back against the Golden State Warriors Wednesday night (Jan. 25).
