Adult and Family Mardi Gras Events in the DFW Area
If you are seeking local Mardi Gras events in the DFW (Texas) area, the following four Mardi Gras activities might be of interest to you. Three of the choices are geared toward adults, but the one in Lake Dallas is a family Mardi Gras event.
1. American Red Cross Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball 2010
Date: Saturday, February 6, 2010
Location:The House of Blues - 2200 N Lamar Street - Dallas, Texas
7:30 p.m. until 12:00 a.m.
VIP reception begins at 6:30 p.m.
Masquerade Cocktail Attire - Be sure to wear your mask!
The Masquerade Ball features cocktails, New Orleans style buffet, live entertainment from the Briefcase Blues band, casino, auction, raffle and more.
The VIP reception features Dan Cavanagh's Jazz Emporium Big Band, hors d'oeuvres and cocktails.
The Mardi Gras Masquerade 2010 benefits the Dallas Area Chapter of the American Red Cross. All Red Cross services support the Red Cross mission of helping families prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.
Ticket Options
• INDIVIDUAL TICKETS:
The ticket price for admission to the Mardi Gras Masquerade at the House of Blues is $150.
• VIP TICKETS:
The ticket Price for admission to Mardi Gras Masquerade is $250 and includes access to the VIP room.
• GRAND MARSHAL:
The price for ten (10) tickets to the Mardi Gras Masquerade is $1.500 and includes special recognition in the program.
• GRAND MARSHAL VIP TICKETS:
The price for ten (10) VIP tickets to the Mardi Gras Masquerade is $2,500 and includes special recognition in the program.
• DONATION:
If you are unable to attend the Mardi Gras Masquerade, you can make a tax deductible donation to the American Red Cross-Dallas Area Chapter.

2. 9th Annual Mardi Gras Texas Style - Dallas Texas
Date: Saturday, February 6, 2010
Location:Automobile Building, Fair Park, 1010 First Ave, Dallas, Texas 75210
What: 20 country artists on four stages
Time: Not clear. Per the web site: "The box office will open 1 hour before doors and close 30 min after the last band goes on stage." Note: The first act is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. and the last act is scheduled for 11:30 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased at a discount in advance on the web page or at DFW Kroger Food Stores. You can also purchase one day tickets at the door for full price.

COST: There is a $10.00 fee (until sold out). $10.00 is paid at the entrance of the TXRDR Pavilion to gain access to the TXRDR Pavilion all day!

In the Pavilion, you are able to purchase your VIP Bar tickets (Rum & Coke, Whisky & Coke, Vodka & Sprite, etc) & see exclusive interviews of all of your favorite Mardi Gras Artists & maybe a few surprises!
The TXRDR Pavilion will also have exclusive restrooms!

3. Mardi Gras Celebration (family entertainment)

Details: The event begins with a parade including 40+ decorative floats competing for a $1,000 prize. The City Hall parking lot and Main Street area is transformed into a New Orleans style party with great Cajun food, a petting zoo, pony rides, bounce houses and contests for the kids.
