Jamie R.
Not everyone can go to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, but that doesn't mean a little bit of New Orleans can't come to you! If you live in Westchester County area, there are plenty of places to celebrate Fat Tuesday in style! Here are my picks of some of the top places to get your ragin' Cajun on!:

The Bayou, Mount Vernon

"The Bayou Restaurant features New York's best authentic cajun food and the top live blues and zydeco artists in the northeast." The Bayou brings a taste of New Orleans to New York on a nightly basis, so you know it's the top place to be to celebrate Mardi Gras the right way! And for their biggest night of the year, The Bayou wants to you to celebrate Fat Tuesday with them along with CJ Chenier & The Red Hot Lousiana Band. CJ Chenier is widely regarded as one of zydeco's best singers, musicans and live performers.

There are three seatings scheduled for the night and reservations are avalaible for 6:00, 8:00 and 10:00 pm. Reservations include: four course dinner (featuring only their top items!), an appetizer of your choosing, their famous house salad, a dinner of your choosing and a slice of King Cake, prepared and baked by their own Pastry Chef extraordinaire, Michele. Feel free to come dressed in Mardi Gras attire. If you don't have anything, there will be plenty of beads, masks, dubloons and more to go around!
