Mardi Gras Coloring Fun for the Family

Printable arts and crafts are a great way for families to celebrate a holiday and not even have to leave the house or spend a lot of money that they don't have right now. Saving money is a very large part of many families now-a-days, and being thrifty doesn't have to be boring. I have scoured the Internet for coloring pages, word searches and masks to color to celebrate Mardi Gras at home with the family. Some of these can be colored online and then printed, or print it and use your favorite crayons, pencils and markers to decorate them. Try adding some feathers or yarn to embellish the pictures and decorate the refrigerator! Keep in mind the favored colors of Mardi Gras are green, purple and gold. (Yellow will do just fine.)

Masks are a very simple way to show your Mardi Gras spirit. You can color these two with crayons, markers or vibrant paints. Mardi Gras Mask 1 and Mardi Gras Mask 2. (If you wanted to, print them out on card stock, color and then glue a large craft stick to the side of it so you can wear it!)

If you are more of a word search person, then try the following links. These should be nice and challenging for you. Mardi Gras word search 1 and Mardi Gras word search 2

Here is a simple crossword puzzle to challenge the mind. Mini Mardi Gras Crossword Puzzle

Coloring is a wonderful way to not only relax and let off some steam, but it is a creative way to spend time with the family. Click on the name of the picture to access the link. Enjoy!

Celebrating!

To help remember your family celebration, why not take all the wonderful pages everyone colored and make a gallery down the hallway? This is a nice way to show everyone in the family that they are special and it costs little to no money at all. Just crayons, paper and printer ink!

I'm using my sister's tiny netbook (on which I cannot type, but bhunting and pecking as it is so tiny) to do some quick commenting and spread PV love while my computer is "sick."
