Mardi Gras Invades Tulsa

There are so many things to do in Tulsa during Mardi Gras. From fundraisers to family events there is something for everyone!

February 2nd- McNellie's Public House in downtown Tulsa always provides a unique atmosphere and Mardi Gras will be no different! Dinner will be served at Sidebar at 7:00 pm on February 2nd. The menu will feature true New Orleans cuisine including Creole bread, Bayou Bouillabaisse, Steak En Frite topped with Dungeness Crab and Bearnaise and Banana Foster. Dinner and Mardi Gras are not be complete without beer, so enjoy featured beer of Marshall's Atlas IPA, Sundown Wheat, McNellie's Pub Ale, and Big Jamoka Porter. February 6th - The Oklahoma Aquarium is creating a New Orleans Mardi Gras atmosphere, complete with the Bourbon Street and Jackson Square reproduction. Have an amazing time while raising money for the Oklahoma Aquarium to improve and expand the underwater experience. Mardi Gras festivities include a food, live music, dancing, beverages, a casino and a silent auction. Table sponsorships are available and tickets are only $150.00 per couple. Members receive a $10 discount on tickets. The Mardi Gras celebration is February 6, 2010 at the Oklahoma Aquarium in Jenks, Oklahoma. Tickets can be purchased by calling 582-1555.

February 13th - Route 66 Harley Davidson celebrates Mardi Gras with a family friendly event on February 13th. Children are welcome to enjoy the New Orleans style food, music and atmosphere. Route 66 Harley Davidson is located at 3637 South Memorial Drive in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Call 918-622-1340 for event details. .

February 15th -Tulsa Church of Saint Mary is hosting a Mardi Gras singles event on Fat Monday, February 15th at 6:30 pm. Wear your Mardi Gras inspired attire and join other singles for an evening of good faith and fellowship. Dinner will be provided and childcare can be arranged. RSVP to Deacon Bender 918-749-1423 by February 12th.

February 16th- The Tulsa Oilers are taking on the Colorado Eagles on Fat Tuesday. Mardi Gras beads will be tossed out to fans and it is $2 Tuesday. College students pay only $2 for admission and beer and soft drinks are only $2.

March 6th -Tulsa Habitat for Humanity will host the 11th Annual Dream Builder Gala on Saturday, March 6th. This Mardi Gras event is loads of fun and supports a great cause! Festivities begin at 6:00 pm at the Renaissance Hotel. Grady Nichols will entertain guest with spectacular jazz music and Tulsa Channel 6's Lori Fullbright with emcee. The evening will include a wine reception, dinner, live and silent auction, and dancing. Black tie attire is optional. Individual tickets are $100 per person and table sponsorships are available.
