Mardi Gras Party Games for Adults

It's almost Mardi Gras again. This year, make sure your party is the most talked about, fun filled event, next to the real thing! While many that host a Mardi Gras party may often focus on the food, decorations, etc., focus on Mardi Gras party games. These games can make or break your Mardi Gras party, so here is a list of the top three Mardi Gras party games best suited for adults.

Guess Who Mardi Gras Party Games

In this strategic game, party goers are to wear similar costumes. Instead of bringing their own mask, the host or hostess should provide these at the door, as well as a number. The masks should cover as much of the face as possible and should be identical. Group your guests into groups of about four to eight, depending on the size of the party. During the game, guests aren't allowed to talk to one another and numbers are called out and mixed and matched. When the music stops, the group has to guess who has been added to their circle. If they guess right, the "stranger" is out of the game.

Trivia Mardi Gras Party Games

This type of Mardi Gras party game is best for a small group and involves trivia evolving around the Mardi Gras holiday. The trivia questions can be selected on the history of Mardi Gras, practices, or any other details. Just make sure to keep the crowd engaged by avoiding too difficult questions and/or mundane trivia. To add to the fun, you can also divide guests into teams. One of my personal favorites is to have men against the women and/or teams made up of couples.

Mardi Gras Mystery Games

Mardi Gras mystery games are great for adults. From the classic game of who done it, to other beloved classics, this Mardi Gras party game is sure to be a hit at your party. Clues can be placed all around the room in various locations and guests must search for them. It's kind of like a mystery game and scavenger hunt in one.

There are many Mardi Gras party games to pick and choose from that your guests will love. Make sure to offer rewards and other incentives to the winners of the game. This can include goody bags, special privileges, whatever you may choose. However, offering beads as an incentive tends to make the most fun of these Mardi Gras party games.
