Marge Simpson Poses Nude for Playboy

If Any Woman Can Attract More 20-something Readers to Playboy, It's Marge Simpson

To the delight of her legions of fans, Marge Simpson has "posed" nude for the November 2009 issue of Playboy magazine. TMZ has obtained the Marge Simpson Playboy cover (don't worry, her private parts are strategically - indeed tastefully - concealed) and, if you are so inclined, you can see it by clicking the link at the bottom of this article. In addition to the cover, Marge Simpson appears inside the pages of the storied men's magazine in a three-page semi-nude pictorial. The magazine is slated to hit newsstands on October 16.

You may be wondering why Playboy decided to feature Marge Simpson semi-nude in its November 2009 issue (Incidentally, Marge Simpson is the first cartoon character to be featured on the cover of the fabled magazine.) Well, in addition to showcasing Marge Simpson's extraordinary body (let's not forget that she is the mother of three children) it was done to commemorate the 20th anniversary of "The Simpsons," which is the longest-running animated comedy series in the history of television.

You may also be interested to know that the United States Postal Service has also commemorated "The Simpsons" 20th anniversary by issuing a set of stamps featuring the faces of Marge, Homer, Bart, Lisa and Maggie Simpson. The stamps were designed by series creator Matt Groening.

As mentioned above (and I know this comes as an awful disappointment to many) Marge Simpson will only be posing semi-nude for Playboy (Playboy calls it "implied nudity"). This strategy was similarly employed by none other than reality TV star Heidi Montag, who appears semi-nude in her six-page Playboy spread.

One has to wonder why Playboy was willing to pay Heidi Montag a reported $500,000 to only pose semi-nude. Some analysts believe that it was done to win over a younger audience (the average age of a Playboy reader is currently 35) for a magazine that has been in financial trouble for quite some time now.

Playboy's decision to feature Marge Simpson was reportedly done for the same reason (in addition to commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Simpsons). According to multiple media outlets,Playboy CEO Scott Flanders (yes, Flanders is his real name) hopes that the Marge Simpson Playboy spread will attract younger readers to the magazine.

If any woman can attract 20-something readers to Playboy, it's Marge Simpson.

I cant believe that this is considered national news. Proof that the world has run out of real news to talk about.

One dimesional and yellow - the perfect woman at last. At Halloween it seems especially fitting as her body leaves the sighted aghast!
