Mariah Carey Confirms Pregnancy on the Today Show
The singer also admitted to having had a miscarriage soon after she and Nick Cannon married in 2008. She stated the miscarriage shook them hard and took them to a dark place. She revealed that it brought her and Nick closer, saying the situation was difficult to handle.
The star revealed she is due this spring, but kept the due date private. The couple have no plans to find out the sex of the baby.
This will be the 41-year-old singers first child. Many had speculated that she was pregnant when she pulled out of Tyler Perry's film, For Colored Girls, saying her doctor advised her to cancel. She revealed this to UsMagazine.com during that time.
The happy couple are well on their way to starting a family! It's very exciting to be first-time parents. The couple just renewed their vows in May, marking their second anniversary. The singer was previously married to Tommy Mottola and ended their marriage after four years together. Carey has called Cannon her "soul mate".
