Mariah Carey really looks pregnant in these photos Perez Hilton recently posted on his blog. So do the photos of Mariah Carey finally prove that she and husband Nick Cannon have a baby on the way? And when will they finally admit to the press that Mariah Carey is pregnant?

Mariah Carey, known for donning super-short, super-tight mini-dresses most of the time, has been dressing a little bit frumpier as of late, and it's very obvious that she's put on a lot of weight. So is she really pregnant, or is she one of those unfortunate women who just look like they're pregnant when they pack on the pounds? A series of recent events point towards Mariah Carey's belly containing a baby rather than a lot of blubber.

Back in June, Radar Online reported that it was "official" that Mariah Carey was pregnant, citing the fact that she had dropped out of Tyler Perry's next film, an adaptation of the play 'For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf'. According to People magazine, her reason for dropping out the of the movie on very short notice was due to her doctor's orders, news that definitely got the baby buzz going in full force.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon were also spotted outside a medical clinic in May, and Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon both have enjoyed teasing their fans about a special announcement. On the E! show 'Daily 10', Nick Cannon finally revealed their big news: the duo's dog Cha Cha was expecting puppies.

However, after Radar Online reported Mariah Carey's doctor's instructions to steer clear of the Terry Perry movie as proof that she was pregnant, Nick Cannon attempted to shoot the rumors down in July. According to AceShowBiz.com, the 'America's Got Talent' host finally denied the baby rumors, saying that he can't wait to be a dad, but that the timing has to be right.

However, Mariah Carey looks like she's about to pop in the recent photos that have surfaced on the web. So perhaps the couple has just been trying to keep the pregnancy secret for as long as possible, something not unusual with celebrities. That way they can choose a very big, diva-worthy way of making the announcement to the world when they feel the timing is right.

And if Mariah Carey does have a baby on the way, the next few years could be busy ones: according to USA Today, she is one of the many celebrities in the running for becoming an 'American Idol' judge, after all. So will her baby become an American Idol someday? If so, I don't think he/she will need any help from the show, but with daddy Nick Cannon hosting 'America's Got Talent', even if their baby doesn't inherit Mariah's vocals, maybe he or she will still have their own weird and wacky talent worthy of sharing with the world (besides being the world's most spoiled child, of course).
