Marie Osmond's son was 18 years old and suffering from severe depression when he leaped to his death on Friday night. The handsome young man has had very few pictures posted for the public to see. RadarOnline has obtained a picture of Michael Blosil, Marie's son, with the woman who lived across the hall from his apartment in LA. The woman in the picture is the person that Michael addressed his suicide note to calling her " his only friend".

Michael Blosil was one of Marie's eight children. Five of her kids were adopted and the other three are her biological children. Michael was one of Marie's adopted children.

Michael Blosil leaped to his death on Friday night from the balcony of his 8th floor apartment building. He was living in LA and attending Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, which was nearby. He shared his apartment with a couple of roommates who were not at home at the time of Michael' s suicide.

Marie's son left a suicide note, but it was addressed to the woman who lived across the hall from him. He put the note in his apartment then left the woman the instructions on where to find it when she got home in a text message. When the woman returned home, she knocked on Michael's apartment door and his roommates answered and let her in to find the note. No one knew at this time what had happened. The text message just said to read the note and gave the location for the unnamed woman to find it. As the woman was in the apartment with Michael's roommates they heard the sirens. Once the note was opened and read, they realized the sirens they heard down in the parking lot were for Michael.

Michael took some time to plan his suicide, by writing a note and text messaging the woman to make sure she found it. While he was alone in his apartment it sounds as if he put some thought behind what he was about to do. The leap he took off the 8th floor balcony had no chance of the outcome being anything else but death, so he was very serious about ending his life.

Often, when people are ambivalent about killing themselves, they will use a method that has a high rescue probability, such as taking pills at home where others are around. This young man did not choose an avenue that he could have been rescued from, nor did he show any signs of ambivalence, this was far from making a high rescue probability attempt. He attempted suicide where there was no turning back.

Michael had suffered a long time with severe depression and he had was checked into a rehab when he was 16 for drug abuse. It is very common for someone with depression to self medicate, either by using drugs or alcohol.

I feel for what this poor boy must have been feeling. Depression is so painful. If you want to end it without looking back, that's a terrible place to be.

From the outside looking in, it seems the children of the celebrities have everything. But it appears there is something missing in a good portion of these families.

It's so sad when someone can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, and their lofe is so empty that they feel they have to end it all.
