Marie Osmond's Son to Be Laid to Rest Monday

The world was shocked Friday, February 26th, from news that Michael Bryan, the 18 year old son of Marie Osmond, had died . He left a suicide note before jumping from the eighth floor of his apartment building. What has been learned about his last evening is little. What is known is that Bryan had plans with a friend, but sent a text to her telling her that a note in his apartment would explain things. The friend arrived at Bryan's apartment but was too late to reach him.

The cause of death on the death certificate is currently blank as the coroner is waiting on toxicology reports to be completed. There are signs all leading up to this being a suicide, but want to make sure alcohol or drugs weren't being used. Before ruling this as a suicide, steps are being taken to make sure he didn't accidentally fall over the balcony. The results of the toxicology report could take up to two months to be finalized.

The burial arrangements for Bryan have been set. The family is holding a private funeral in Utah for Bryan. Osmond and her famous family are all originally from Utah. In a statement made through her rep last Saturday, Osmond had this to say. " "My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time."

Donny Osmond,Bryan's uncle, through Entertainment Tonight, asked for prayers for his sister and their family.

While Bryan did have a drug problem in 2007, he successfully completed a rehab program. Friends tell authorities that Bryan had not been drinking and was clean during the last week of his life. Once the toxicology report comes in, the coroner will sign the death certificate as well as list the official cause of death.

Blosil was one of five children adopted by Marie Osmond. He was a freshman student at the Fashion Institute of Merchandising and Design.

Prayers around the nation will be lifted for Bryan, and the Osmond family in this terrible time of loss and sorrow.
