Marie Osmond's Son: More Death Details

Back in 2007, the teen spent time in rehab for substance abuse. At the time, Osmond's brother Donny Osmond told People that his sister had been dealing with Michael's issues "for a very long time."

But by 2008, Michael, a talented musician and high school senior, appeared to be doing better; he "had been accepted into a performing arts program for high school students." Last fall, he enrolled in the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles. One of Michael's close friends says he "was happy" and "loved" L.A. - and the move made Marie Osmond happy as well.

An autopsy on Marie Osmond's son, Michael Blosil, has been completed. However, while coroners have finished their work, the results have been withheld pending the findings of a toxicology report. As previously reported by Gossip Center, Miss Osmond's 18-year-old son is presumed to have committed suicide by jumping off of his 15-story apartment building.

As soon as Marie's brother Donny Osmond heard about Michael's death he and his brothers boarded his jet and headed to Utah to be with their sister in Las Vegas. The television star knew he had to be with his sister after finding out her 18-year-old son Michael Blosil committed suicide.

"Whenever there's a situation where there needs to be rallying the Osmonds rally around each other and support each other. And, there's a lot of that going on right now," he explained.

Donny and Debbie Osmond's son, Don, along with cousin Michael, wrote in a column for the Mormon Times Web site that read, "for me, spending time with family - just being together - has helped to provide a little serenity amongst the tumult. I love my family greatly. We rally together to tend to each other's needs during these crises."

The couple also gathered Monday for a concert to support nephew David Osmond's new album. Brian Blosil, Michael's father, was also at the event.Marie and Brian split back in 2007 after 20 years of marriage.
