Italy
Italian laws permit private use and the possession of small amounts.Using marijuana in public places is not allowed.
Netherlands
Marijuana is decriminalized and possession of small amounts for personal use is acceptable.

Portugal
In 2001 all penalties for possession of marijuana were removed. According to an article from time.com it is decriminalized and possession of a small amount is allowed.
Spain
The possession of marijuana and the cultivation for personal use is allowed, it is decriminalized. In fact, in Spain users are encouraged to grow their own. Drugs are not tolerated in Sweden and the laws are strictly enforced. They strive for a drug free society. Marijuana is thought to be a dangerous drug
United States
Marijuana is an illegal substance although some states allow the use for medicinal purpose. Some states allow cultivation of a small amount of plants for personal medicinal use. Use of marijuana for medical purpose in your home state does not transfer to states you visit.
